Time for India to Shine?

Hey people,

It has been some time since I posted anything here and well, I was kinda busy.

But some time since the results of the Elections in India have come out, I have seen and heard tons of negative comments against BJP, who , well, took the lions share of the votes.
And they are poised to form the new government as well.

But what I can't really understand is all the negativity against BJP and their P.M candidate, N.S Modi.
All I hear is how he is going to bring about rules that will ruin the country, destabilize the economy and of course cause riots in the country as his party prefers Hindus.
And I would like to call B.S on all these accusations.

I mean, the achievements that he has done to Gujarat it phenomenal.
And the level of safety in the place is astounding. It makes one envy for the same level in our home states.
And well I hope that it will be possible for us to walk out of our home after ten in the night.

We, the Indian Youth, and everyone else who voted for you, hope that we haven't made a wrong choice.

Cheers and Hoping for a phenomenal next 5 years,

I.B

P.S: Comments are well appreciated.

Problems

Hey People,

I know.... Its been a long time.... Sorry about that.
I was just busy with some stuff in college and all that.

Its sometime in life, when you face a problem, or rejection or a failure, that you actually understand the value of friendship.
I mean, my parents see me as an irresponsible fat blob and my sisters( yeah,I have two of them) see me in the same light. So basically, I'm given the least responsibility and value in the house.
Now in my group of friends... its a different story. I'm given a equal share in all sayings... And I get to choose what to do or not.... My opinion alone can change our groups plans.
Now that kind of recognition.... that you get there... Its something different.
For a person who never gets any recognition at his home, suddenly this is something new... And he starts living for them.
Seeing them, talking to them, chatting with them, hanging out with them, becomes his top priorities.
Now I can't and won't blame my parents or family for any of this.... Even though they still continue to say I'm irresponsible and all that...
Even could be the fact that I'm usually on the laptop.... But, my notes and everything are on the laptop. And I don't expect them to understand that.
To them I'm just a person who can't do anything right.
If only they gave me a proper chance, like my friends did for me.
I'd show them I am a totally different person from who they think I am.

P.S: I know I sound like a whining idiot, but you guys are all I've got. My friends know this obviously, but this is the only place, where I can anonymously share my feelings.

Cheers,
Indian Boy

Alcohol Addiction

Hey People

Mostly everyone I know, drinks Alcohol, be it beer, liquor, wine champagne or any other form.
And a small portion of my friends, OK scratch that, most of my friends, smoke and do drugs.
I myself, if you have doubts, drink beer, wine and liquor. Don't have any favourite brands for liquor or wine, but beer... I prefer Heineken .Also want to try champagne, but , hey, there's a time for everything, yeah? =D
I know what you guys will be thinking, an 18 year old guy talking about addiction, what must he know?
Well, I don't know much, but I do know people who got addicted to alcohol so much that it destroyed their life.
And I see it everyday around me.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't drink it.. Everything in moderation is a good thing. But just make sure that you don't go over the top.
There's a saying in my native tongue  which when translated, roughly means,"  Even medicine, if too much , is poison"

The bottom line here is, Do everything in moderation, and remember , never go over the top.

Don't forget to comment, also mail me your suggestions about my blog.

Cyber Bullying: Is it something we walk ourselves into?

Hey People,

Recently I have heard about , through social media, of course, about the sad and untimely demise of a certain Amanda Todd, who committed suicide , after a long and hard battle against bullying.
She was cyber bullied as well as physically and mentally. In the end, it was too much for her and she took her life.
It really is a sad story.
But the villain here , after all , is bullying. Or is it?
Through her story, its pretty much clear that she led herself to this trap. And don't take me wrong, I'm not saying what the man did to her was any thing heroic or saint like. He was a demon and will still be.
Bullying is just torture. You never want to go through that, nor will you ever want your kids to go through it.
Bullying in school is physical and can be stopped or controlled up to a certain extent by teachers and parents.
But when it comes to cyber bullying , all those rules don't apply. Everyone wants privacy, to the extent that family members hide details from each other. Everyone is in the privacy of their own log -in ID and password, that they think its possible for them to do anything.
I could now tell you how to stay safe in the cyber world, but that, my friends is for the professionals. Search in Google and you will find thousands of professionals just wanting to come to your help. But it's a craft that has to be learned by our own, I say. And it mostly takes only common sense, the same sense that we use in our day to day lives.
Could it be that social networking websites are actually becoming a place where a person could easily be taken advantage of? You can hear about it in the news about children being taken advantage of and being bullied, could it be that, social networking sites are actually having a negative impact on human life , than a positive impact,it should have.
After all, it does help to connect people.
Food for though readers, food for thought.

R.I.P Amanda Michelle Todd, may your family and friends be finally able to come to terms with your loss.
